Rehousing library books, artworks and new acquisitions: The museum has contracted with Rose Kubiatowicz, a Professional Museum Consultant with Have Gloves Will Travel, LLC, to lead the project work. We have purchased archival materials such as rare book books, pamphlet files, book trays and booklet/pamphet folders; archival art bins; and an archival wire shelving unit to rehouse, stabilize, support and preserve at-risk and rare library collections items, framed artworks and new acquisitions.
The museum has contracted with Steve Boyd-Smith, a Certified Interpretive Planner and Expert with the 106Group, to conduct a visitor experience assessment that includes exhibit interpretive planning options with the objective of conceiving a meaningful, relevant visitor experience that will meet current museum interpretation standards.
The museum has contracted with Rich Rummel, of Rummel Design to evaluate the lighting systems in the main museum, Heritage House and annex to make recommendations for lighting systems that meet current museum and energy conservation standards.
