On April 20, 2012 the Polish Museum offered two events as part of the Midwest Music Fest.
From 7 to 8 pm, Dr. Michael Dubiaga, violinist, and Nancy Edstrom, pianist, presented a Heritage Concert at the Polish Museum. Dr. Dubiaga discovered a number of traditional, dance, and folk pieces written by early American Polish immigrants, dating back to the early 1900s. A reception followed the concert, to honor Dr. Dubiaga and Ms. Edstrom for their performance and to celebrate the reappearance of music which had not been heard in decades.
Meanwhile, over at the Polish Museum Annex, the Overall Kampas from Arcadia/Independence kept a hall full of polka fanatics hopping from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. So this year, the Polish Museum successfully offered something for everybody!
