After enjoying a delicious Polish dinner, hear the story of a hero of Polonia and publisher of Wiarus who helped shape
Minnesota, Alaska, and New Mexico.
The dinner and presentation begins with a social get-together and will be held 4-7 PM
at the Polish Museum’s Morrison Annex Venue, 232 Second St. in Winona.

12 July—“An Artist Goes to War” Presentation by Polish author Victoria Granacki
Ms. Granacki paints a portrait of her father through his original maps, illustrations, and letters home over 3 years of service
in WWII during which he worked as a mapmaker for Gen. MacArthur.

1 August—”Forged in Iron: A Minnesota Rusyn Immigrant’s Tale
Free Webinar by author Mary Soroko discussing an untold chapter of 19th century Polonia. The personal histories of the
author’s grandparents form the basis for a discussion of the ambitions and challenges faced by Lemko immigrants from the Carpathian foothills. 
They became the miners who worked the Minnesota ore pits.

Largest Polish Festival in Minnesota featuring Polish cuisine, entertainment, crafts, children’s activities,
silent auction, and raffle.

 

6 December—Oplatki Sunday: A Polish Christmas Tradition
Purchase and share wafers with family and friends. A day to also recognize dedicated volunteers
