Volunteering

Interested in volunteering at a cultural center and museum centered around Polish populations? We are looking for volunteers at for the Kashubian Cultural Institute & Polish Museum in Winona, Minnesota.

Volunteer positions include:

Custodian: Custodian volunteers help vacuum and sweep the museum when the museum is closed. It takes approximately two hours to vacuum and sweep the museum. Volunteers can come to clean whenever their schedule allows between Sundays and Wednesdays when the museum is closed.

Docents: Docent volunteers work during museum hours to provide tours to visitors and welcome them to the museum. Hours for these shifts are Thursdays, Fridays, or Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.. Docent volunteers are provided training to familiarize them with the museum exhibits.

Gift Shop: Gift Shop volunteers work during museum hours to assist with gift shop operations, including sales of merchandise. Hours for these shifts are Thursdays, Fridays, or Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.. Gift Shop volunteers are provided training on the point-of-sale system prior to their first shift.

Events: The museum hosts events throughout the year and needs assistance with facilitating programs, serving meals, and setting up/breaking down events.
