Student Ambassadors

The Winona–Bytów Sister Cities Student Ambassador Program is proud to present the following student ambassadors for the 2026-2027 year.

Bytów, Poland Ambassadors

Aleksandra Wisniewska

My name is Aleksandra and I’m almost 17 years old. I’m a very artistic person – I love everything
connected with art, especially literature and films. I also really enjoy late-night walks (they help
me relax and think) and baking from time to time.
I would describe myself as an outgoing but calm person. I like meeting new people and
spending time together, but I also appreciate quiet moments.
My family has a great sense of humor and we spend a lot of time talking- communication is very
important to us. We try to always understand and support each other.  I have an older brother
Kuba ( he is 8 years older than me) and younger sister Malwina (she is 2 years younger than
me). We live in the countryside so my daily life is rather peaceful and relaxed.
I enjoy simple things like conversations, watching movies, listening to music and being
creative. I hope to share my interests with you and learn about your traditions as well!

Hanna Breska

My name is Hania and I’m 17 years old. I love being outside, hanging out with my friends and
walking around my village. Sunny days when I can go to the lake and stay up late at night is
what I like the most. I’m pretty sporty person, I used to go to dancing and swimming classes for
couple of years but I quitted. Now I go to the gym but I’m looking for something else. I have 4
years older sister Ola, she goes to University of Gdańsk in Sopot. When she is back home we
like going to the swimming pool. My parents are Dorota and Andrzej, they both are 50 years old
this year. My mum is a primary teacher and my dad works abroad.

Kinga Kin and Family

Hi, my name is Kinga and I am 16 years old . I am a real bookworm . I love reading and writing.
Traveling is also a  huge passion of mine. Saying that I “enjoy” traveling is actually an
understatement .I feel like I can breathe  better when I am abroad. I’ve recently been to
London. So far, I have visited 21 countries, which is about 10% of the world. My goal is to visit
30 countries before I turn 21.
I live in a beautiful countryside near a lake. In the summer, it is the place I go to every single
day. I also work part-time as a waitress, especially during the summer break.
I am the eldest of three daughters. My two younger sisters are 14 and 11 years old, and their
names are Amelia and Maja. They have taught me a lot about patience.  Having siblings usually
does teach that 🙂 . My parents are quite young, they are both 40. My mom’s name is Marta and
my dad’s name is Jarosław. They are both very loving and supportive. My mom is the best cook
I know, she makes amazing chicken breast with pomegranate and leek casserole with cheese .
My dad, on the other hand, can fix almost anything, he is our handyman .

Winona, MN Ambassadors

Lorelei Macon

The most important thing about me is that I love my Catholic faith.
At school, my favorite subject is math. Outside of class, I participate in my school’s student
council, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Model Legislature, Knowledge Bowl (competitive
trivia), band (I play trumpet), cross country, and track where I run hurdles and sprint events.
I also have trained in Karate-do Genbu-kai for over 8 years. I train in hand-to-hand combat,
traditional Okinawan weapons, and Japanese swords.
I absolutely love hiking and having new adventures, especially visiting National Parks. One of
my other favorite hobbies is reading. I am also a United States Naval Sea Cadet. We drill once a month and attend trainings around the country twice a year. I hope to become a Naval aviator when I am older.  I have 2 older sisters. Carolyn, 21, is studying architect at Iowa State University. Jillian, 19, is studying business at the University of Minnesota Duluth. She visited Bytow in 2025 as an
ambassador. My parents are Scott Macon, a veterinarian, and Janet Macon, a dietitian who
teaches at Winona State University. My Polish heritage comes from my mom’s side; she is a proud Kashubian whose ancestors
emigrated to Winona in the late 19th century. Since I was 7 years old, I sang in a Polish choir
with my sisters.
I have traveled outside of the U.S. once previously, to our sister city Japan, Misato.

Lydia Wang

My parents came from China so I grew up speaking both Chinese and English. I am the oldest
of three siblings, one younger sister and two younger brothers who are 12, 9, and 4
respectively. Things can be quite chaotic in my home, but it is all good.
My favorite pastimes are reading, especially classic literature (my goal is to read as
many classics as I can), listening and creating music (I play piano and violin), and creating art. I
love to draw. Also I love learning about history and philosophy. These things are so fascinating
to me.
I would say I am a very outgoing person and I like to learn new things. I’m excited to share my
interests and learn more about you all!
